KEVIN WUNDERLICH
GUITARIST
Born and raised in Cheshire, CT, Kevin Wunderlich began playing the cello at age 9 before picking up the guitar several years later. He began studying with renowned session musician Joe Beck while in high school before moving to New York City to study at New York University’s jazz program. While at NYU, Kevin had the opportunity to study with such luminaries as
Wayne Krantz, Brad Shepik, Tony Moreno, and Ralph Alessi and performed at such venues as The Jazz Gallery and The Blue Note.
Since graduating from NYU in 2012, Kevin has become a fixture on the NYC experimental and avant-heavy music scene, performing and recording regularly with experimental black metal outfit Epistasis, avant-rock band Voice Coils and brutal noise rock ensemble Couch Slut, who’s debut album My Life as a Woman was named one of the best 50 metal albums of the year
by music website Stereogum. In addition, Kevin also regularly performs in the indie-pop band Sky-Pony, led by Tony Award nominee Lauren Worsham.
